Eight months since our last update, and NEMA Grant Park has now reached completion in Chicago. Designed by Rafael Viñoly for Crescent Heights, the 76-storey, 273-metre tower is now among the tallest in the city.

Developed as a rental tower, NEMA Grant Park will soon be home to upwards of 1,200 residents spread across 800 units. Equipped with 536 parking spaces, and fronted along its base by a 12,000 sq.-ft. retail space, the project will have a large presence, its distinctive silhouette now an iconic part of the city skyline.

Located in South Loop at the bottom of Grant Park, NEMA Grant Park is well-situated near the heart of the city. Close to the city's famous waterfront, and thus to the Magnificent Mile, and the many museums that line Lake Michigan, the tower will be a prime address for years to come.

For those looking to stay closer to home, the tower's amenities will include a fitness centre, and a massive, 14,670 sq.-ft. rooftop pool deck. With registration now open, it will not be long now before every last unit is snatched up.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
