Residents have begun taking occupancy in the 82-storey, 320-metre-tall building, which rises above Manhattan's famous Museum of Modern Art. Containing 145 residences ranging in size from one- to four-bedrooms, including full floor homes and duplex penthouses, the tower's tapering design has immediately become an eye-catching landmark in the city.

The layout of each unit is unique, thanks in no small part to the building's signature diagrid, the exposed structural system that bestows a special identity to the building. Current listings start at $3.5 million for a one bedroom to $63.82 million for a four-bedroom duplex penthouse. Every residence is equipped with furniture-grade walnut doors, custom-designed bronze hardware and triple-glazed floor-to-ceiling windows.

Fully integrated with MoMA, the base of 53 West 53 hosts three new gallery levels accessed from the museum's existing exhibition spaces. Residents have been gifted MoMA memberships, with the possibility of the building hosting private events in the museum's sculpture garden.

The building features a surfeit of amenities, including a 17,000-square-foot, full-floor wellness centre outfitted with a 65-foot lap pool, two large vertical gardens, a fitness centre, golf simulator and a regulation squash court. Floors 46 and 47 feature a double-height lounge with panoramic views and a formal dining space overlooking Central Park. Residents are also able to partake in hotel-like in-home dining service from the building's restaurant. Additional amenities include a library, theatre, children's playroom, and temperature-controlled wine vaults.
