    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

That’s a lot of gravy. That’s more than 1000L combined

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Wait, who said the current platforms don't fit 3-car trains? All platforms (surface and underground) are around 95 metres long and there will be a 1/3 unused. It's not even walled off unlike Line 4. Hope people don't stand in the wrong place. I highly doubt people will prefer to transfer to...

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

It only takes 3-4 years to actually build a highway. Half the time is spent on EAs and design. This highway can be done before 2030 if they throw the money at it and not have the feds stop it.

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

You can see how well Ford's priority projects are moving along versus projects handed to them. Examples: Eglinton West Extension: One TBM has completed tunneling. This wasn't even a thing when he was elected. Ontario Line: Major constructions have began Scarborough Extension (revised project...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

You can pretty much get away from 10 km/h above whatever speed limit posted in Ontario. The cops won't spend their time writing you up with a high chance it'll be tossed in court. Just don't do the same with the speed cameras. Those machines have all the time in the world. Speed bumps work way...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Metrolinx can upload the subway and outsource it. It can't get worst than the bottom of the barrel, can't it?

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Clearly this city has no posted signs about how King Street works. It would be a major confusion for people unfamiliar. They expect immigrants to know about the streetcar corridor announced from 2017 when they just arrived last year. They know they can't go straight but they do it anyways just...

Let's hope they were just installed incorrectly and not cause the rail moved after a bunch of test trains went by.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

It didn't go so well in some BC trials and they reduced it back down to 110. They still have some 120 sections. 130 is a rural highway speed only suitable for long distance travels. You won't find that anywhere near the GTA even if they were to trial it. On the German Autobahn, you might find...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

A red light camera would work very well along with some overhead electronic signage. People still run the red anyways when they realize there is no green phase for them. Also the amount of traffic blocking streetcars towards the priority corridor at Jarvis is also insane. With the detour onto...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

The speed limit would be staying put not because the road can't accommodate faster speed but the volume is too much to support it during most times of the day. 120 to 130 is possible on 69/400 north of Barrie where traffic is light but it's too fast for busy routes where some don't even drive at...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

We have yet to see Line 5 operate with simulated revenue service level, so we don't really know. This isn't about making one trip across the line but can the trains all stay in service the entire day without breaking the rails/overhead or blowing up the transformer.

Good thing they limited that to a few weekends. What if Lakeshore West GO line and Line2 are shutdown too while they do that.

You should be grateful they didn't patch it with asphalt

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Perhaps we are slowly moving towards a Line 2 shutdown. OL and Line 5 along with all the downtown streetcar lines can fill in its shoes.
