The library will be invisible from that angle soon! So many naysayers in the community and in the press had this impression that the library was being built out on the periphery of the core, but really it's just going to be eaten up by the core in no time flat as East Flats and Dream get built out.

The titles on SRC are all supposed to stick to the same format, because the database ties into them that way on the back end. I'm planning to populate the database for the entire city over the summer.

I think 33 story twins were originally proposed on that lot and the one where WE/3 is about to sprout. It would look great if they went 33 for WE/4, a nice progressive ramping up of height.

Wowza...gray precast city. I'll reserve judgement on the outcome until further on, but this is a MAJOR bait & switch regardless. Reminds me of Riverain in Vanier.

Quite the row of buildings forming along this stretch. You'd think that new Heafey going up behind would be twice as tall so it would have river views from the top floors...

I like it. I hope there are more benches when it's built, though. This area needs more places for workers to eat outside in good weather to animate the place during the day.

This just reinforces my conviction that they'll change the brick for the bottom 12 floors. They just can't help themselves.

I definitely consider Westboro to have a skyline. It has 12 high rise towers, and almost 20 midrise buildings.

Missed opportunity, the views of parliament would have been epic from higher floors. Gatineau is still very height phobic, though.

The location ended up being so incredibly epic. The views are going to be incredible. I have been to the central libraries in Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, and they are all spectacular, but none have a view. This library will bring the aqueduct and Pooley's Bridge to life, a forgotten and...
