Stopped in Calgary over the weekend and got my first look in person since it got above ground. A much darker look overall from the black trim between the glass, grey spandrel, and black metal panels all not seen in the renders. They all blend very well though and gives off a sleek look.

Definitely is looking better. The first few floors had me a bit worried as it started out looking like a clone of the WAM project down the road.

My favorite part of the design so far, on the West elevation the varying window widths that are different on every floor. Not only is some of the white spandrel pixelated (as some aren't liking) but the actual widths of the glass is 'pixelated', very cool.

On the concerned side, my biggest fear is that the metal paneling does not stay flush and may look bent and deformed. @Surrealplaces You can see it in some of the pictures you posted (fifth picture in post #63 can see it the most). This may end up leaving the final product looking very cheap if it is not fixed or can be seen on a lot of the panels. Although I actually tried to look for the bent panels when I was there and couldn't find them. Not sure if that was due to the clouded overcast, isn't that visible in person, or the pictures are deceiving.

@crisp I'm not sure why those panels look bent like that. I've seen it on other towers too, but in the end when the building is done you don't see the bent ones..... I'm not sure if they replace them or have some sort of suction device to help straighten them.

I saw this yesterday afternoon and thought it looked great. If a building is going to be pixelated, it might as well be black and white. Someone earlier in this section mentioned not likeing the pixelation of the buildings, and I agree. a little bit here and there is okay, but there is so much of the new stuff with the pixelation. This one does look decent though.

Funnily enough, the Chinese were the first ones to experiment with helicopter technology. So ancient Chinese secret indeed....

Drone shots are cool...just need to adjust the exposure setting, ha.

Yeah, I haven't fully played with the camera yet, but I noticed a bunch of settings in the menu. It seems like the auto settings come out mostly fine, but a bit on the dark side. There is an exposure setting in the menu to manually make things brighter darker....definitely worth fiddling with.
