In all seriousness, I have seen some pretty amazing prompt to image AI programs lately. Do you think we will ever get to a stage where a developer could se one to day "design a mid-rise project on this parcel that meets all local bylaws and building codes", and forgo the need for an architect?

I have thought that many of the engineering consultants could be rendered obsolete with the flip of a switch from Google and the reams of GIS data out there at times, now it also seems like architects are at risk as well.
It's already being developed to integrate with existing software to act like Adobe's Firefly AI Generative Fill. So you could ask it to layout a hotel room once based on a few criteria, and then ask it to fit them most efficiently into an overall dimension and it'll complete the entire floor plan. From there the rest is already handled. It could then prompt you with adjustments to make decisions on, as to changes to your original unit to make them fit, or to modestly extend the building. Theoretically you never have to draw a line.

So it remains the same. The Architect telling the Tech what to draw and how to draw it. Meat puppet Tech out. Silicon tech in.
