I don't think it's that bad, but I would have appreciated something more similar to the new similar building on James St with some brick or other colours. Flat black for the entire building is a bit bland. There is some greyish/white on the front which I look forward to, but I would have liked to see something a bit more colourful.

Once that auto shop is developed, most of the bldg will be covered up anyway.

Then if the houses on the corner are demo’d and developed, all that will be visible is the facade.

It’s not 1 Jarvis, but is still infinitely better than privately-developed garbage like 149 Main West.

The modular home development on King William across from KiWi is looking sharp, too!
 
you're quite the minimalist aren't you dc83 LOL..

I WANT to like 149 main street but it's far too ikea modular looking for me - like vranich went traditional attempting and stacked a buncha blocks on top of each other - a building like that should appear seamless, not have seams. I mean it coulda been far worse but still.
