Traffic Changes at Allen Road and Eglinton Avenue West - Mid-December 2022​

Between mid-December – late December 2022, various traffic changes will be implemented at Allen Road and Eglinton Avenue West. As early as mid-December 2022, the dedicated westbound right turn lane from Eglinton Avenue West to Allen Road North will be reinstated. As early as late December 2022, westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reinstated to two through lanes between Allen Road North and Park Hill Road. These traffic changes are expected to remain in place through early 2023.


What to Expect


Reinstatement of the dedicated westbound right turn lane from Eglinton Avenue West onto Allen Road North. Reinstatement of two westbound through lanes on Eglinton Avenue West between Allen Road North and Park Hill Road. Concrete barriers, fencing, and signage will be in place to delineate the work zones. Noise from construction activities can be expected. Expect delays while traveling through the area. Once the new traffic configurations are in place, intermittent short-term lane closures may be required to facilitate specialized activities.


HOURS OF WORK
• As early as mid-December 2022, the dedicated westbound right turn lane from Eglinton Avenue West to Allen Road North will be reinstated.

• Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reinstated to two through lanes between Allen Road North and Park Hill Road.
• Park Hill Road and Everden Road will remain closed at Eglinton Avenue West.
• The left turns from Winnett Avenue and Flanders Road onto Eglinton Avenue West will remain restricted.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
• No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.

Wish they could do a "soft open" of the "Main Entrance", "Secondary Entrance", and/or "Tertiary Entrance", just to get to current Line 1 "Eglinton West" Station. Have the "sidewalk superintendents" get a peek of what's coming.

Depends where and how the "turnstiles" or payment procedures will operate. (If they will have "turnstiles" that is.)

Pavement Marking Works – On Eglinton Avenue West between Allen Road North and Glenarden Road - Monday, January 2, 2023​

As early as Monday, January 2, 2023, crews will be removing and repainting the pavement markings on Eglinton Avenue West between Allen Road North and Glenarden Road. To facilitate this work, occasional lane reductions will be in place on Eglinton Avenue West between Allen Road North and Glenarden Road. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. This work will take place between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for approximately one (1) week. Upon completion of the works, the lanes will reopen.
What to Expect
Crews will be moving along Eglinton Avenue West between Allen Road North and Glenarden Road to remove and repaint pavement markings. Occasional lane reductions will be required, expect delays while travelling through the area. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.   • The left turn from Flanders Road onto Eglinton Avenue West will remain restricted.
