Ah, so it was a hotel room window this time, not a residential suite. Hmm. If there are no unduly unruly guests to blame it on, that's a problem.

Perhaps they were moving some furniture around?
 
Interesting. I suppose there will be more doors from the bar to the terrace as well. With this building having been designed in the years after the 9/11 attacks to look more fortress-like and safe… I know they now want it to look more welcoming from the street. No hotelier wants an empty bar.

The cafe area does indeed look a little austere, inhospitable, and unprotected from the rush of the Bay St. cars, so I think this is a pretty good idea; Foster with aA:
