Since topping off at a final height of 452 feet or 138 metres earlier this year, construction continues to progress at the site of Golub & Company's Moment. Located at 545 North McClurg Court in Chicago's Streeterville neighbourhood, the tower is rising right between the Magnificent Mile and Navy Pier, just a few blocks north of the Chicago River. New photos from Forum contributor harryc have provided us with an updated look at the project's construction.

In the months since our last project update in November, curtain wall cladding has been installed on roughly two thirds of the 45-storey Solomon Cordwell Buenz-designed luxury rental apartment building, allowing suite interior work to begin within the sealed-off levels. In addition to the recent cladding progress, the project reached a major milestone this past week, when the tower crane was lowered in a complex operation aided by a mobile hydraulic crane.

Immediately north of the tower, the development will include a seven-storey above-grade parking garage that will be largely hidden from view by a smaller-scale mid-rise massing fronting East Ohio Street. The image above shows how the concrete structure will be masked from view, while capturing the ongoing installation of reflective punched windows.

The development is offering 490 luxury rental apartments divided between 59 studios, 39 convertibles, 289 one-bedroom units, 98 two-bedroom units and five three-bedroom units, catering to every lifestyle from singles to families. At ground level, the project will contribute to the streetscape with the addition of 5,200 square feet of retail space occupying the northeast corner of Grand and McClurg.
