Steps away from the popular Pike Place Market in SeattleEquity Residential is constructing a 40-storey luxury residential highrise that will house 400 units. Encompassing 300,000 square feet of space, including retail, 2nd + Pine replaces a surface parking lot adjacent to the existing Macy's garage.

The architectural team of GBD Architects and Weber Thompson have imagined a timeless design defined by a curtain wall facade, metal accents, and a precast concrete base, where four floors of above-grade parking and micro apartment units will be situated. An additional four floors of underground parking will be provided, with a sum of 350 stalls.

Upon receiving their keys, residents will be able to enjoy the amenity spaces that will elevate their living experience. They can admire the mountainous setting of Seattle from the fireplace-equipped rooftop deck, take in a movie at the screening room, and work up a sweat in the fitness centre. A dog lounge and walk provide a dedicated exercise spot for four-legged occupants.

Before they can get to all that though, the building needs to come to life. Passersby will notice that the void in the streetscape has disappeared and the concrete-framed tower is rising from the previously underutilized site. Crews are expected to complete construction in 2017.
