Construction is progressing smoothly at the site of Corev Immobilier's TOM Condos in Montreal, where the 11-storey podium has reached its final height. One of an impressive array of condominiums rising in the downtown core, the 318-unit development is strategically located on Union Avenue, within steps of the city's most vibrant restaurants, boutiques, and parks.
Each unit features hardwood floors, concrete ceiling heights exceeding nine feet, and a choice of lacquered, wood-grain, or laminated kitchen cabinetry. Though the building is primarily residential, 46 office-condominium units and accompanying shared conference facilities add diversity to the project.
A modern gym and aerobic studio, sauna, party room with kitchen, and indoor swimming pool will welcome residents when they take up occupancy in the building. They will also be able to enjoy the multiple landscaped terraces in the development, which are positioned on the podium and the rooftop.
The tower floor plates, which share a similar beveled outline to the podium floors, are now beginning their ascent towards the 40-storey pinnacle. The first signs of the curtain wall, precast concrete, and stone cladding system should be visible soon. The Karl Fischer-designed development has been given a 2017 completion date, so there's still plenty of time to watch construction crews hammer away on Montreal's latest condominium project.
