Coming soon to downtown Vancouver, Concord Pacific's The Arc will bring 29 storeys of residential space to the foot of the Cambie Street Bridge in the heart of Yaletown. Designed by the Vancouver-based Kirkor Architects + Planners, The Arc will feature a unique 'gateway' arrangement which will see the twin-tower development capped by an elegant platform bridge.

At 88 metres, the 29-stroey condo tower will be recognizable from a distance, its signature gateway feature to help it stand out amid the dense urban cluster of condo and office towers that has come to define downtown Vancouver over the last two decades. Built next to BC Place, The Arc will replace an irregularly shaped parking lot, bounded by Expo Boulevard, Smithie Street, and Nelson Street at the foot of the Cambie Street Bridge.

Living just steps from Vancouver's inner harbour, future residents of The Arc's 588 residential units will also be within walking distance to the SkyTrain, along with the shops, cafes, and restaurants of nearby Robson and Granville Streets. For those who prefer to drive, the development will come equipped with 520 underground parking spaces.

While the building's upper floors — including the eight residential levels sitting atop the three-storey amenity space within the platform bridge — will make up The Arc's residential component, the lower levels will be reserved for commercial use, including a planned restaurant and retail space. Seen in greater detail below, the glass-bottom pool will be a signature part of The Arc's amenity spaces, with residents treated to a swimming experience like no other.

Beyond the pool, The Arc will provide an impressive array of amenity spaces, including a lounge, spa, and fitness centre, along with a large rooftop patio, garden, and terrace. While all of the proposed public spaces and services are likely to be a draw for potential buyers, it is the glass-bottom pool, seen again below, which will set The Arc apart.

Once complete, The Arc will be a welcome addition to the rapidly intensifying Vancouver skyline, with what was once an under-utilized surface lot reclaimed as a prime downtown location.
