Currently on the rise in Stratford, East London, Manhattan Loft Gardens is set to redefine the local skyline. Designed by SOM for German-Canadian developer Harry Handelsman, CEO of the Manhattan Loft Corporation, the 42-storey, mixed-use hotel and residence will be the tallest building in Stratford, an up-and-coming East London neighbourhood that is projected to become a popular urban destination over the next few years.

Set for completion in 2018, Manhattan Loft Gardens will feature a triple-height entrance and lobby, seven-storey hotel, spa, two restaurants, three sky gardens, and 248 private apartments. Going up alongside Stratford International Station amid the stadiums and sports facilities of Olympic Park, Manhattan Loft Gardens will place residents in the midst of what will soon become a bustling new neighbourhood, well connected to transit and thus good for those looking for easy access to Central London.

Handelsman is well known in London for the construction of loft-style apartments, and this new development will be no exception, with no less than 13 different varieties of loft apartments on offer, ranging in type from single-height studio lofts to triple-height penthouse lofts. At 135 metres, the tower will be equal in height to the London Eye, providing inhabitants with stunning city views, either from the comfort of their units, or atop one of the many garden terraces or other public amenity spaces available.

Once complete, Manhattan Loft Gardens will be a welcome addition to the neighbourhood, the high-density mixed-use project to add to the urban character of the surrounding area and boost Stratford's public profile among locals and visitors alike.
