Last month we introduced you to SkyriseCalgary, but that was just the beginning. Since we launched SkyriseCities last year, we’ve been tracking construction progress on buildings from Seoul to Paris to Brisbane, but we’ve learned the most from our communities in Alberta. Now that Calgary is covered, we’re excited to expand our attention to Edmonton.

During the last year, we’ve taken you through Rogers Place, up to the top of Ultima, and inside the Kelly Ramsey Tower as it officially became the Enbridge Centre. Over in the Forum, we’ve learned about your best bets for how high the ICE District will rise by Christmas, we’ve seen the city through your eyes, and we got our first introduction to the Neon Sign Museum.

That’s why we’re so excited to bring you SkyriseEdmonton, a new local site from SkyriseCities that will offer the fine-grained coverage we’ve been providing for years at UrbanToronto.ca.

At SkyriseEdmonton, you’re a member of the same incredible community you’ve gotten to know here at SkyriseCities, and you can even log in with your existing SkyriseCities, SkyriseCalgary, or UrbanToronto account. You can discuss local development projects and share your photos in the local Forum. You can follow buildings like the Stantec Tower in the Project Database to see new photos and be the first to know when it tops off. You can browse the map to identify projects or construction sites that you’ve seen around the city. And now you can read local Edmonton news every day on the front page.
