So the circus will be over by mid-week and then the city can declare the seat vacant either at the end of this month or in early May. Then there is a 60-day period for council to announce whether there will be a by-election or an appointment. With Rob gone, Doug is considerably weakened. Over these next two or three months, does Doug have much remaining cred in terms of keeping his gob in front of the media? What's a wingman without a pilot?

He doesn't need to keep his name out there. The voters in that ward will vote for anyone named Ford, so he won't even bother to do any camping. I don't know why they even bother with an election, we already know the results.

Oh Joy, looks like Doug organized a BIG dysfunctional family funeral circus for his little brother. Truly looking forward for this crap to cease. An open casket in a public space is unimaginable, it is a place of business where I presume staff is still expected to perform their normal duties. So the 13 day count down to stop this page started yesterday. I have seen every reason for me to keep this page going and going to address them all here.

1. I live outside Toronto now...so TBH Toronto politics are no longer mine.

1. I think CP24, Global, CBC and CTV have all decided to have live coverage on Wednesday.

Rob wouldn't be "walking", the body will be in a hearse. He drove just about everywhere, unless there's a photo op of course. This procession will be a photo op for the Ford family.

You're not thinking big enough. He will clearly be strapped to the top of Randy's fire truck, complete with the "saved a billion dollars" banner.

Better check the clearance - wouldn't want him getting caught in those infernal streetcar wires.

Alternatively they could have Dave Haynes, Jerry and some of Rob's former football players hoist the casket onto their shoulders making for a solemn promenade . A caparisoned horse and caisson would be real classy, but probably too fancy for Rob (lying in repose at City Hall and a big church funeral in a big fancy church notwithstanding).

Here's hoping for a modest, sombre and restrained crowd with minimal wailing from Iola.
