The tower itself is pretty much on par with the average point tower going up. That said the bar is pretty low- rectangular box with balconies and spandrel. It's at street level where it turns into a cluttered mess, just trying too hard to do something with materials that inherently look cheap. Why not just use some quality glass on the podium- keep it simple and elegant.

This condo looks like it doesn't know what it's trying to do.

That seems to be a pretty consistent pattern with Graziani + Corazza...it's opulence with none of the class.

Doesn't really come off when it's about 80m away and a tiny little patch that shares no other similarities other than a splash of reds.

I can think of about two dozen approaches to matching or creating a dialogue with the red brick of Oddfellows Hall and not one of them involves ugly grey snap caps at the mullions or an ugly choice of red that reads like the entrance to a mall from the early 1990s.

^That picture truly captures how horrific this thing is. From street level it looks more palatable since the balconies cover up the brutal spandrel, but from the air you can see right through to those ugly strong grey spandrel panels which significantly minimizes the impact of what they were trying to accomplish with the balconies.
