I hear you...

....but outside the few exceptions, developers here don't want pride...as it doesn't make them money. Or so they claim. Either way, if they are allowed to do so, this crap will continue to be built within our city.
Not only do they (or in this case Canderel) profit from it, they also win awards:

Some miscellaneous retail in this city have a knack for coming full circle. Just like the Hasty Market at Simcoe & Elm ;)

... and the McDonald’s at Bloor and Avenue, albeit no longer as a flagship location.

It was a sign, Hoops get their windows repaired and Leafs advance into the 2nd round of the NHL playoffs. 😄
Has anyone been to Hoops? It looks pretty sad from outside, with those tiny doors and windows. Are they doing OK? Or will they be gone by the end of the playoffs (Leafs or no Leafs)?

I've only been to Hoops once but that was over a decade ago in their original digs before the block was redeveloped for YC Condos. Just have vague memories that it was dark and generic sports bar-ry. Not really the most compelling place to want to go back to. Google reviews seem mixed at best.
