I'm still surprised that the smaller brick building didn't qualify for retention. Considering some of the 'heritage' buildings in the city that are far less unique; they are often defended with significant effort by the city and locals.
It doesn't make sense how some of the other cheap old buildings get saved and not this little detailed art deco wall. They should be a preservation law to a least preserve the concreate parts . To be sold and used in other developers that want to incorporate it into there projects.Red brick would clash badly with golden/yellow. I think this will look nice with the heritage buildings that are being retained.
