No, that's just the ridiculous lens that it was voguish to shoot renderings through for a while there. The early B/A renders did the exact same thing, as do the 18 York renders today. I think it's pretty obnoxious.
 
Even the rendering shows it slopes out, then lines up with the rest of the east facade. There's no more sloping to occur. ;)

Thanks. From there it looks like RBC is now equal in height to Simcoe Place (at least the top of the forms for the elevator shaft).
 
I'll use this thread as an excuse to post a skyline shot - RBC is slowly creeping up beyond the height of Simcoe Place.

Taken from the Manulife Centre... photos today were over-saturated. I wasn't particularly happy with how they turned out, but I'm not going back up there to take them again any time soon.
 
Just teasing you. The purple tone in the one above gives it a nostalgic feel of an old super 8 home move.
 
I like the way this building closes in the south side of Metro Hall square. Give the square something of an amphitheatre feel when you stand in front of Metro Hall and look east.
