So, war update.
Ukraine just gave Russia one hell of a shiner.
They've taken out one Russian Sub and a Ropucha - LST which is an amphibious landing ship that were in dry dock
Sevastapol. The dry dock itself has been seriously damaged, and the ship yard is in such a state that Russia no longer has a working facility that does comprehensive repairs on the Black Sea Fleet.

This on the heels of Ukraine retaking multiple oil platforms earlier this week.

The attack was carried out using Storm Shadow Missiles.
3 confirmed hits, one on each of the two vessels and one on the yard itself.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that it had shot down seven of 10 cruise missiles that Ukraine fired at the facility in the city of Sevastopol. The area hosts naval operations key to Moscow’s war efforts in Ukraine.

With the loss of a cruiser, a submarine, a corvette and several landing ships, Russia hasn't had this level of naval disaster since the 1905 Battle of Tsushima, where again Russia figured they could roll over a seemingly weaker opponent.

This is a small but important detail. Everytime Ukraine gets a new capability, pro-Russian trolls claim it won't make a difference. But as we see, the more tools you give the Ukrainians, the more they achieve.
We're on the way to seeing acceleration. This is not widely understood. The closer the Ukrainians get to Crimea, a larger variety of weapons become viable, allowing for an increase in pace and intensity of attacks. This allows for an acceleration of the Ukrainian campaign and an equal acceleration in the decline of Russian capabilities. The question now, is how much, can be achieved by mud season. They need to get as much of the South as possible, inside GMLRS range over the next month.

Trump and the Republican Party will leave the Ukraine nation to its own devices in a heartbeat, and with Trumps tacit support of Putin, the ground will get much tougher and more dangerous for the Ukraine (and other countries such as Estonia…) and the balance of Europe should the Republicans prevail in the upcoming American elections.
The pressure on the Ukrainian leadership to achieve as much as possible in this near term is immense.

Very true. But the election is a year away and they won't take power for two months after that. This is critical time. But it is still time.

Why would they strike Sudan? It serves no purpose and only wastes their ammo

1) Shows Russia that none of their operations are safe anywhere.
2) Shows Russian partners that violence you didn't sign up for can come to you.
3) Deprives Russia of important foreign currency if those operations are curtailed.

After a really good week or two; Ukraine getting some not so good news today.
The Polish PM, who had been arguably Ukraine's most staunch ally, certainly in Europe; has just announced that all military aid to Ukraine will cease.

This is coming with a pending election in Poland, and it appears Ukraine is increasing less popular with many, particularly in rural areas.
The issue of Ukrainian grain taking up storage space in Polish silos, and also flooding the local market depressing prices seems to a key sticking point; but there are others.
The Polish PM, who had been arguably Ukraine's most staunch ally, certainly in Europe; has just announced that all military aid to Ukraine will cease.

The war has dragged on for almost 2 years now. People are expecting some sort of resolution

There is only one resolution - the total withdrawal of all Russian forces through defeat. People need to make peace with that reality.
