I went there back on friday and they were Preparing a 2nd crane base at the Eastern end of the site

I believe the foundation at the SE corner is for the pedway.

A new school in MacEwan's orbit for the less advantaged kids in the hood would help solve many social problems. Instead of ghettoizing them in low income housing in Boyle, get them acclimated and accustomed to the academic world so that transitioning into higher education is not a big step. If densification is the objective, then a new downtown school is needed.

I don't know if they already have any such programs, but MacEwan is well positioned to interact with the schools and neighbourhoods in the area.

Grade school isn't MacEwan's "core business" but the province controls the purse strings and could make it part of their business.

A bit off-topic, but that pic demonstrates the large number of parking lots near MacEwan. I'm especially looking at the old Wonder Harbour space and the huge parking lots west of 109 St.

There are a few proposals on some of those vacant lands and parking lots but yes, much more could be happening now, especially with Macewan's short term growth plans.
