A new school in MacEwan's orbit for the less advantaged kids in the hood would help solve many social problems. Instead of ghettoizing them in low income housing in Boyle, get them acclimated and accustomed to the academic world so that transitioning into higher education is not a big step. If densification is the objective, then a new downtown school is needed. What's next on board for MacEwan's expansion? Science building?
I don't know if they already have any such programs, but MacEwan is well positioned to interact with the schools and neighbourhoods in the area.A new school in MacEwan's orbit for the less advantaged kids in the hood would help solve many social problems. Grade school isn't MacEwan's "core business" but the province controls the purse strings and could make it part of their business.^that's not their core business. If DT needs more schools, talk to EPSB and the ECSB
