Only 3 spaces left 🥳 Would be awesome if The Mercury Block retail space was fully leased by the time The Cobalt finishes up. I think it’s definitely possible at this rate!

Sweet to land a large company like that. Very stable.

But hopefully there’s a restaurant that’s open late of sorts in the remaining few spots to activate the courtyard area and seating.

The peace and quiet inside there is super cool. A nice patio spilling into the middle with some music would be a viiiibe

Really cool to see almost a "home design" hub starting up here with Post & Brood, Devine, & Stephenson House across the street in MacLaren.

Wonder what type of business would work in that C200 space? Courtyard compliments food service, but 900sqft and very little foot/car traffic would be a big obstacle, no?

How about a barber shop or a shoe shine store?

C700/C800 would attract a restaurant with a patio. Personally I'd like to see Frida relocate here from Stony Plain Road where the LRT construction is ongoing.

I think that a so-called "alternative" restaurant could do well here -- one that relies heavily on local walk-in traffic and one with a strong delivery function as part of their business plan (perhaps delivery by a vehicle like a Segway that serves a 5- or 6-block radius). By "alternative" I mean some kind of exotic street-food. I know from the years when I was involved in design projects throughout the then-called Oliver district that the population was diverse, formed from a broad cross-section of U of A university students to young professionals and business start-up entrepreneurs. The current density could support a well-thought-out alternative restaurant.

Too bad Plum had to pull out of OEX2

It's too bad, Plum had a lot of cute higher end baby and kids stuff. We bought a couple of things there and were planning to come back for more special occasion items. They still have whatever they have left for sale online.

Good news for central retail though. We want to put it new tile in our entryway this year, I know where I'm going.
