I think the excitement of post-secondary expansion needs to be tempered with the sudden changes to international student quotas and rules. International students are a huge revenue source for our post-secondary institutions. We have yet to see the full extent of the impact on the schools but we will see them over the next few years. Probably less of an impact on MacEwan but Norquest and the U of A both have large international student bodies. Not saying there won't be expansion, but I'd be hesitant to place bets right now.

That really isn't true. U of A announced some time ago that they've moved most of their administrative staff to Enterprise Square, over 500 people, to free up room at North Campus for classrooms. You might not see as many students at Enterprise Square but there's a whole lot more staff there 4 days of the week.

Further expansion of U of A will happen at South Campus.
They must all be hiding then, I go through there several times a week including around lunch time and hardly see anyone. The place is dead.

Maybe they teleport, because I don't see hardly anyone going between there, in their lunch room on the main floor or their own now closed food court, which I understand was closed because no one was working there.

The place is always dead when I go through there and I go through several times a week

Yup, invisible and how do you not reopen the Fantasia spot if they are as it used to be fairly busy in there at lunch.

I believe they may be 'there', but like most, it seems only have to 'be there' for very limited time each week.

Yes, I think I only actually saw people in their new AI space once or twice in the last month. It had much more activity years ago when it was their bookstore.

The rest of the work spaces you can see have a few people, but it generally seems like a skeleton staff. As for that nice enclosed lunch room they must have also spent a lot of money on, also not very busy.

I don't know what is going on, but perhaps some serious coffee badging going on here.

Ian, did you guys purchase the old Atco yard just east of the Maxx Urban Condo building? Right hand side of 105th - snowy patch

That area just north of MacEwan always screams "this should be the next Ritchie" to me.

To me it gives Yaletown Vancouver Vibes. It would be nice to have our versions Hamilton St and Mainland St right near MacEwan and Rogers with restaurants, bars and lofts on top.

This is slowly developing:
- Cafe Amore
- Dirtbag Cafe
- White Rabbit Ice Cream
- La Prosciutteria
