This is fantastic! Oakville (and many other Canadian suburbs) need this type of European-style density! I am so excited to see Phase 1 and the subsequent phases progress until completion. There has been a planned walkable urban core since the 1990s and in the following decades much of this area has been untouched former agricultural lands and empty parking lots. The Trafalgar Memorial Park will actually have people visit it other than city workers mowing the lawn.

The straightforward window alignment is a nice change from the usual messy designs. And the brick carried right to the ground is a refreshing change from the typical obnoxious wall-o-glass

Oh boy.... well this changed a lot. New Site Plan application submission for this development and a bunch changed. New architects are LIMA. Updated Elevation plans (from https://www.oakville.ca/getmedia/0f28caf3-98ab-4cc0-8276-cfed6f545751/sp-141403001-Elevations-S4.pdf):

And here is an updated plan for the entire block:

Not sure how I feel about this honestly, I really liked the old design...

What makes it even worse is that the location of it is so prominent, with it being right next to Trafalgar Memorial Park and on Oak Park Blvd, which has some pretty decent architecture just south of this development. The old design was really nice for the location, and then they ruined it with this...

Its also pretty weird that they had such a major change in design after having supposedly sold a good portion of units.
