Do we know what the final lighting strategy of the building is going to be? I remember a while ago people were looking for lights to illuminate the skeleton, but did anything get confirmed?

If I remember correctly, some members believed that the planned exterior lighting was scrapped when this project went into receivership and Tridel took over. However, I cannot confirm this yet.

I also noticed a similarity between renders of this project's initial design and some of the photos I have taken of its construction:

Bloor is about 50 metres higher. And the CN tower observation deck is 345 m, so they are almost exactly the same height above sea level.
People claiming Toronto is flat should try cycling from the waterfront to Bloor (you don't really feel/notice it when you're walking). And that's just downtown - wait till you get to the escarpment between Davenport and St Clair!
