What do you think of this project?

That gym is temporary? It looks really impressive, so I'm glad they put so much effort into it despite its (hopefully) shorter lifespan.
Kind of the brilliance of it. Most of the cost is in the exercise equipment that can be easily relocated. The rest is essentially a shell space + some ceiling lights, cheap plank flooring and painted sheetrock (maybe some wall mirrors also?) so pretty cheap to put together as a temporary solution that looks better than a lot of actual gyms out there.

They want to have the middle building serve the entire development with a larger single centre.
That makes a ton of sense, I'm really excited to see this play out. What is your personal expectation for when they'll start the next stage? And do you think they'll do the connector or tower 2 first?

Nothing yet I don't think from speaking with them last week, but I could be wrong.

They are using one of the CRUs for an amenity space (gym) until the connector is built and the other a temporary sales centre.
Condo's in the tallest? or are both towers rentals?

Here is a picture of the couple of pieces clading. Looks like to two colors at theis point.

Am I the only one who wonders how this tower would look if they had chosen the other colour instead? I kinda feel this cladding ended up a bit too pale.

Once they stabilize tower 1 and have confidence in the near to mid-term, I would guess that we see phase 2 going in ~2 yrs time, but that's a pure guess.

363 units? Decent number to fill.

Switch and Falcon are both closer to 250. Interested to see how quick this fills. I wonder if the park/phase 2 constructions scares some off for noise?

I was wondering the same thing about falcon, but like someone mentioned on that thread, the average non building construction geek might not be aware of a coming second building.

It does look decent. Definitely need more ground level commercial.

Downtown could also do with a general street level face-lift. Just coming back from Vancouver and it's a light year ahead of Edmonton for public spaces that are not awkward concrete modern "art"
Downtown and West End Vancouver also largely function as a resort. But if you would like to benchmark our downtown against Calgary, Hamilton, Ottawa or Winnipeg I will absolutely listen to you.
