Voted.
It was a bit of a gong show to do so today. There were multiple polls in the same venue and I was stopped immediately at the front entrance and asked for my voter card. They checked the card and helpfully explained exactly where I needed to go.
That's fine. That's good. It was up one floor from the entrance but only a short maybe 30 second walk, and the line was visible from the lobby of the building.
I made it all of ten feet to the stairs before I was stopped and asked again which poll I was going to and told the same information and was directed to the same spot up the stairs.
I made it up to the top of the stairs and was stopped again and asked for my card and given the identical information a third time.
"Thank you, in the six seconds it took me to walk up the stairs I had completely forgot that information already given to me twice in the past one minute."
I got in the line I was supposed to be in and was stopped again and was asked to show my card to verify I was in the correct line.
After getting to the front of that line, I was stopped again and asked to show my card to verify I was still in the correct line.
Then at the desk I was of course asked to give my card over to verify I was at the correct poll.
They had only one voting booth for our poll, so the line moved very slowly, though that one isn't only on Elections Canada, but also the morons that spent several minutes to mark their ballot because clearly they didn't know which of the six candidates to choose, which, why would go to an advance voting poll and not already know who you are voting for? THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT! YOU ALREADY HAVE DECIDED!
ANYWAY
What was clear is the advance voter turnout is HUGE, meaning most people have already decided and I think the election is already over.
Even in Alberta I wouldn't be surprised at a 35% Liberal support that turns into five or six seats.
