Um, it's more than 'two little machines'. A whole lot more. And it does have a material impact on the budget. The entire point being, city hall makes it a priority to ensure the bike lanes are clean and it's shameful they don't have the same respect for transit.
 
Yes, it is amazing what can be done when there there is the political will to do it and likewise how little when there is not. Empty the darn garbage cans and clean up the area more often, its not that difficult

The snow clearing for bike lanes is pretty brutal. So I feel like it’s getting as good of attention as our transit station cleaning tbh haha
