I didn't want to break the news regarding the train, but yes. It's at OMF A now.

I wish I could tell you guys more about VLW, but unfortunately due to my recent job change I can't really comment much on anything that isn't public information already.

Congrats on the new job! Based on what you know, are you able to tell us how you feel about where it's at in relation to the 2028 deadline? Please choose :) or :(

😐 Updates from the City and MIP are accurate. Intersection closures have been incredibly helpful. Right now alot is waiting on trackbed install, which is waiting on road construction. My opinions on road closures, which are not representative of the City or MIP, is that road closures should have been more extreme from the start. But that was an opinion I've held previously with all road projects. I hate money/time being wasted on traffic control.

I can't imagine any catastrophic issues coming up like on the VLSE. Integration into the existing line is extremely simple, that will be very smooth. This isn't a Metro Line situation.

I took a drive along Valley Line West and noticed a few observations (sorry, no pictures):
(1) Rebar on parts of 104 Avenue, particularly at the intersections.
(2) Some sidewalks and curbworks poured on parts of SPR. It looks like the goal for completion is around Sept 1.
(3) Progress in construction around 142 Street.
(4) Some curbs done on SPR from 149-156 Street.
(5) Construction at 95 Avenue.
(6) Traffic rerouted to 87 Avenue South east of Misericordia.
(7) Some ironwork at Misericordia Station.
(8) The first steel poking above the guideway at WEM Station.
(9) Trackbeds poured south of 87 Avenue (182-189 Street).

One issue that seems to be a challenge for SPR (149-156 Streets) is the length of time it takes to pour concrete and the sidewalks. Do the multi-coloured sidewalks pose a greater challenge?
