Given WestBank's reputation on the West Coast, they value-engineered the crap out of their units...🤣🤣🤣
from what i know Value engineering is used to cut costs where possible without compromising the quality - I am not an expert in it but have used the concept in the past. Amazing the efficiencies one finds when you get the whole team in a room and improve communication and cooperation ...and are all pushing and focused in the same direction. But proof will be when we start to see the results- I personally think they have a reputation to maintain -so think they will do whatever they need to ensure this is a top notch project!! 🤞🤞here's hoping!!!!!

I was wondering this too. Or is there something new and experimental with this particular building such as the materials and methods which is a source for delays?
The materials seem unique. We need more skilled workers and the completion efficiency needs to be way up. Better action! There is so much work that needs to be complete . I get there’s alot of safety measures that go into these buildings but at the pace of a tortoise come on people. We need a massive amount of the public’s voice and to deliberately question this slow progress. They need a kick in the a** government and contractors and who ever else is in charge

Last night - progress on the south side:

Ok, they're going significantly faster now. All of that current floor was done this week. None of it was there on the weekend. If they're doing a floor per week or two, then this could be fully clad over the Summer.

Once (if??) they get the vines etc in it will change for the better too.

It certainly looks like it's happening. Now that more of it is up, I spent a little bit of time looking at the installed cladding last weekend and the path of supports for the vines is becoming more apparent. The cables for climbing plants to wrap around will attach to where there are channels left between some of the panels. You can see it here:

As noted in the prior posts, installation of the King Toronto cladding panels appears to have quickened quite a bit. Over the past couple of weeks both tower cranes have been quite active. Level 6 has now been completed around almost the entire building. Some recent photos:
