It was published October 1st. It should have been updated with Doug Ford as a mayoral candidate, but since this thread is about Rob Ford...

politics these days seem to consist of nothing but voting against some Greater Evil: Voting against Hudak, voting against Harper, voting against Ford, etc. There just doesn't appear to be anyone you'd want to vote for on their own merits, as this election is very sadly proving

For Christ's sakes, this couldn't have been clearer at the debate the other night when Thug had the sheer gall to play the class card against Chow and Tory. That neither of them had the guts to slap him down when he was squawking about them being rich, and chose to quietly and respectfully and obediently hold their tongues instead of throwing his hypocrisy back in his hideous face

I concur with you and your friend. Its lamentable not to be able to vote for someone as opposed to voting
against some one.

As a politically aware person my less engaged and much younger brother and sister often ask me who is deserving of their votes. I have always councelled them to vote with their hearts. Stating you will never get the leaders that your heart desires if you don't vote with your heart. Then I told them we must vote against Hudack ( just this once, the fascists are at the door) And now I'm advising anyone but Ford. Poor lessons in civics. Good lesson in self defence.

Frankly, the man wasn't even suited to be a dog catcher. How anybody (not in Ford Nation) could not see that, is a mystery to me. Just watching the infamous "Fat Fuck" video, clearly showed the mentality of the man.

And yet, Tory, Harper and Hudak had no reservations about Ford at all. I'm sure in private, they were laughing their asses off, thinking about him becoming mayor of Toronto. (Yet they still supported him) Not one of them, has an ounce of integrity.

I think the FoFam stink will be worse than Harper knows. When fed elections are all about (Eastern Canada) swing voters, all it takes is a few of them wondering "WTF Harper and Flaherty were doing with FoFam?" to change things.
