Has not changed since you posted. I say it's buggy. No way Chow is down to 7%.

It's 640 ...Tory is a Socialist.. Only Doug can 'F' the poors like they need to be. Chow on 640 is to the left of Marx.. an online poll on 640 makes Forum look like StatsCan before Harper's cuts.

And it's also "who do you think will win", not "who are you supporting". I reckon even a lot of Chow voters would put her likelihood-to-win lower than her actual support levels...

There *is* only one sitting member of the Green Party, and she *is* their leader, after all.

So, I'd say fair comment from NOW.

Elizabeth May is one of two sitting members and the leader of the Green party.
Bruce Hyer is the second sitting member; he was elected as an NDP MP, left the party over its gun registry position to sit as independent, and in December 2013 joined the Green party.

Elizabeth May did not vote in favour of going to war, but also was not able to speak on the issue because of a motion to close debate. One non-whipped vote can't fairly be said to represent the party as a whole, or to define the relative "progressiveness" of the party or even its (2) elected representatives.

BTW, on the subject of ranked ballots potentially in the 2018 municipal election, consider that a proportional federal system in 2008 would have seen the Greens win 21 seats (6.8% of 308), instead of zero. Almost a million Canadian voters had no representation in that Parliament thanks to first-past-the-post.

So, not a rapist or a crackhead? Maybe Hulk Hogan...

ugh... people are squawking on twitter, some using #DougsEndorsement hashtag, others making jokes. Wish they'd just shut up rather than hyping it. I get that people wanna get their jokes in ("maybe it's Sandro Lisi!!") but I'd rather just ignore DoFo camp's ploys for attention.

Preach on, brother!

<sarcasm>No doubt your terse eloquence will get Stephen Harper all over this issue first thing Tuesday. He's all about fairness and good government, totally not about using an ill-gotten majority to pass legislation that 60% or more of voters really don't want.</sarcasm>

<sincerity>Really, everybody should complain about FPTP until it finally crumbles. Harper and the CPC won't last forever. I'm not sure if pure proportional representation is the best alternative, but a million Green voters should get better representation, as should a million anti-CPC voters in Alberta, etc.</sincerity>

Just another attention grab. Guess DoFo is feeling unloved.

ETA: Anyone simple-minded enough to endorse any member of the Ford clan deserves the derision that will surely be heaped upon them.

Ironically, has anyone else noticed that Chow's platform is the most fiscal responsible among the frontrunners?? The big ticket items proposed in this year's race are all transit projects, and yet the so-called tax and spend socialist is proposing the least expensive and most affordable plan of all.

Tory's SmartTrack is going to cost a fortune and raise property taxes (even if TIF financing succeeds, it will divert the new revenue to debt; but all that development will require investments in local services and infrastructure, which will require new revenue...from property taxes). Ford's fantasy subway plan will cost far more than $9B and will never get built through the ridiculous tax-free funding mechanisms being proposed. This too will result in massive increases to property taxes. And, of course, both support the irresponsibly profligate Scarborough subway and its 30 year tax increase.

Apparently calling yourself a fiscal conservative is all you have to do to get people to believe that you are, regardless of the facts. This truly is Crazy Town.

No one needs to be silent around the Fords--they create more than enough attention on their own. But I think it's crucial to call out the hypocrisy of the FoFam and for that I (and others, I suspect) won't "just shut up". Turning a blind eye to the malignancy will not make it go away.

I wonder if Ebola will be part of the mayoral debates? Toronto was the only SARS "hot zone" outside Asia.

Our health care system essentially collapsed during SARS, and I doubt things have changed in any substantive way.
