It's actually better for cars. Normally, there are more through traffic than turning traffic. It can also benefit turning traffic, as they are less likely having to wait a whole light cycle, because the turn phase ends right as they reach the intersection.

I think you just said so yourself. On the regional map, there is already a dark blue for Barrie, and light blue for Richmond Hill. Adding (back) another blue into the mix doesn't help - especially when line 3 will crisscross with those two lines on the map.

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

The way they want is for you to look for the bus bay number, not the route number. The bus bay should be numbered chronologically (which is not done so for route numbers in any bus terminals that I know of). You don't need to know what comes after bus bay 1 and etc. They can add a bus...

Unfortunately I didn't take one when I was there. Maybe someone else had done so.

I agree they could add more descriptors to the signs. However, I do like how the new station maps show where exits are relative to surface streets: Eglinton station is a maze.

I would add that the above ground trains in Kyoto are functionally metro/RER lines - heavy rail lines. They had (through elevating and tunnelling) and are also undergoing grade separation on some sections.

As you have said, as long they can check for fare anywhere within the paid area (including on buses/streetcars), there is no need for temporary barriers for the free ride day.

You'll need proof of payment on all other lines/routes. Same as usual.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

It is a subway going to Renforth, which is connected to Square One by the transitway. It will have its riders.

It was a white elephant because access was inconvenient and they didn't close Dorval, if I recall.

Roads: Ambassador & Gordie Howe Bridges

Not sure when this was done, but Google maps now shows the new bridge.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Looks like trains are not stored across the line, or at least at Kennedy. The first departure eastbound from Mount Dennis should be around 5:30 (Mon-Sat). That train goes to Kennedy and comes back to do the first wetbound trip at 7:11. The reverse for the last trains. The 10pm eastbound train...

Can't exactly compare with cabs/Uber as they are point to point service. The premium pays for that. A better comparison should be GO's airport routes.
