I'm surprised to see construction of the elevated track at Thorncliffe is beginning soon. I wish they would start building the track at the north end of the line too, so they can get the most disruptive work in the area out of the way.

I notice the documentation says the new bridge is being constructed north of the Leaside bridge. Both bridges actually run north to south, with the new bridge west of the existing bridge. I have to admit, with the roads running at funny angles in the area, I used to think the bridge ran east...

I've been to the station several times, but always in a hurry, and have never actually seen the artwork. It's on my to-do list!

A few factoids about the building that the bus station is in, as I used to live in the area. It's 2200 Yonge Street, named Canada Square, and it used to have a 2nd storey winding hallway leading all the way south to Berwick Street, serving shops including a Cineplex and a Mandarin restaurant...

Re. your other names for Corktown, Parliament could be confused with Queen's Park, and Distillery might have "boozy" connotations. I'm surprised the latter is so widely promoted as a name for the neighbourhood. If Corktown is not a widely known name, it probably will be if the station is given...

I knew K/B and Q/S station names are temporary, but didn't know of the other 2, or that Metrolinx (of all people!) were actually inviting input from the public. That's good! I would like to see avoidance of double-name stations, even though we have had many of them in the 2 recently opened...

The top of the construction site, in the last picture, appears to be at street level. Where is the "hole"? (I guess I should have said, portal.)

There is also a parking lot within the park, to the north of the intersection, at street level and not in the valley, so no stairs to climb.
