Civic and community centres have the potential to transform a neighbourhood (Yonge-Sheppard, Regent Park, CityPlace...) And with 1000s of people living in the area in towers...

    Some shots from today! A tractor appeared that wasn't there a day before. Not sure if this is related but a construction trailer has appeared in the church parking lot across Kipling.

    All workers and equipment have now cleared from the site. When walking the around yesterday, I noticed that a large construction trailer appeared in the parking lot of the church (mid-right corner of @Tim MacDonald picture above). Don't know if that's related to this project or not.

    Seeing the lack thereof/glacier speed of approvals from the city on this is aggravating beyond belief! Maybe they should start collecting the owed taxes from MLSE (for example) to pay for this commitment.

    This is based on assumptions...but with Shoppers as a tenant in the plaza now, I suspect they will set up shop somewhere in this development. Loblaws Inc. knows how to make money and this Shoppers is always busy, everyday, all day. I wouldn't be surprised if they even open a Joe Fresh location...
