    Calgary Transit

Calgary Transit's mandate seems to be to get blood from a stone. Before it was not enough drivers, in the interim it was the Haysboro Garage, and now it is not enough rolling stock. I'd like to know what funding they would need to run transit how they want.

    Infill Development Discussion

I also wonder how many developers buy and apply between now and August. You don't have to build once you get a land use so why not take advantage of it?

    Infill Development Discussion

A total examination of the process should have been the outcome, too bad. https://livewirecalgary.com/2026/04/08/calgary-city-council-repeal-citywide-blanket-rezoning/ "Despite several amendments being put forward, only one survived. It was an initial one from Ward 10 Coun. Andre Chabot, which...

    Calgary | Gallery First & Tenth | 73.4m | 19s | Truman

I'm in the Netherlands, went biking through a small village someone asked where I was from, I said Calgary, they said, the home of the Gucci lobby collab? I said, what? Then I rode away.

People don't like the King's exterior but that same glossy look would be great here.

That podium on 15th Ave is great, even with the two parkade entrances.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

I'd say we were here (McMahon costs the University too much and doesn't serve the University well) yesterday, last year, I'd even say in the 2010s maybe even the 2000s when Toronto, Hamilton, Winnipeg and Regina were looking at building new stadiums.

    Calgary Regional Rail Transit

Honestly, I don't need an announcement, this is as good an indication that they're at least a little serious. Curious if we'll get an announcement this week, if it is a meaningless announcement then we'll get a Good Friday, long weekend announcement. If it is something it will be next week.

    Calgary | The Edgewater | 30.6m | 9s | Trico Homes | S2

Guess we're the April fools on this one, hard to expect them to go forward with this in this location in a cooling market. On a positive note, it could mean something better ends up going here. It is not like this is what is dragging down the area, there are numerous empty or underutilized...

Curious about how long the dirt ramp stays in use.

Th experience centre will be welcoming Club Seat Season Ticket Holders this spring to select their seats, Lower Bowl Season Ticket Holders in the summer, and Second Bowl Season Ticket Holders in late 2026. I assume the experience centre could be open to the public in 2027? The fear of ticket...

    Calgary | Taylor Building Conversion | 36m | 9s | Cressey | Gibbs Gage

What's weird or I guess odd is there is no reason they couldn't have done what was done on the Taylor Building. Such a weird miss... Hopefully there were some lessons learned.
