I’m not an expert on what UBC has been doing but this summer I spent a couple hours wandering around Westbrook village and I went to university there. I would say because the campus is so much bigger and already has quite a bit in the way of existing housing it’s a bit of a different situation...

I think you might be thinking of the project right next to the library but I walked by there a couple weeks ago and couldn’t see any activity.

I know this isn’t really new info but it’s just surprising to me how many new developments/conversions are going up in this area. Assuming 1.5 people per unit that almost 2500 people there in the next couple years! Obviously the 226 from elements is considered slightly differently.
