As a former Burlingtonian, I am happy to see a major arena/entertainment facility included in this project (something a city the size of Burlington should have). Looks to be about 5,000 seats, perfect for an OHL team.

Wow, these new renderings have given me hope. Taken a hot mess of a building and made it passable.

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

Glad to see this moving forward, it is needed. Most of the transportation infrastructure spending in this province has been rail (Ontario Line, Finch, Crosstown, Scarborough Subway, Yonge extension, Go electrification, Hamilton LRT etc etc). I think we can allow one highway project in an area...

Is this why my phone service sucks right now on The Esplanade?

Looks like a settlement with the city was reached on this one. https://www.thepublicrecord.ca/2024/03/ljm-and-city-of-hamilton-reach-deal-to-allow-condo-building-at-651-queenston/

I may be the minority here, but I don't mind how this is turning out. Not the best in the city by a long shot but not as bad as some say. This is a project that should not be judged until it is complete.

I wonder what land will go for along Queenston Road once the LRT is running? Many intersections have been designated high density mixed use.

Has anyone heard what the receiver plans to do with the existing purchase contracts? We have heard nothing yet.

I like this building. Setbacks and verticality get me every time!

Is it me or does this building feel like it is really flying along now! Any guesses on when it willl be topped out! Late summer 2024 is my guess.

I don't mind colour, CN Tower looks terrific as does the Rogers Centre when roof is lit. I think it is because they use flood lighting and those are iconic structures. TD Terrace looks like a tacky Christmas Tree 🤣. I will wait until testing is complete before final judgement.

Put me in the camp of thinking this lighting is tacky. I don't mind the white highlights, but the green is awful. I can see using the colour for certain special events, but please please not all of the time!

The red clay is the weathered upper portion of Queenston shale, exposed in much of the western GTA. This weaker shale underlies the more resistant dolostones to the west and is the reason we have the Niagara Escarpment and Niagara Falls.

Not sure I totally agree with this statement. Typically remediation, if needed, is shallower than the required excavation for the underground levels. I have not seen too many projects excavated and then backfilled.

great shots! I actually like the way this is turning out. I have a thing for setbacks.
