    Blatchford

Today, the Blatchford website was updated with a rendering of Crimson Cove's apartment at the northeast corner of the traffic circle at Blatchford Road and Alpha Boulevard. As a reminder: Major Development Permit Reference Id: Job No 571380992-002 Description: To construct a...

The report states that this will just be phase one, and that the ultimate capacity won't be filled for a number of years anyway. They did the same thing with the new OMF being built for the Capital Line extension.

    Blatchford

Expecting a build to go from start to finish in a single year is a bit unreasonable given that the more stringent requirements mean that they take longer to build. If we see solid numbers every year, and they continue to increase, I personally don't think it matters if they take 1, 1.5, or 2...

Yes. Going through the permits and counting main units separately from basement suites (I didn't count garage suites), here's what has been completed in the last year.

I forgot to say this earlier, but last week there were some workers near the first phase of Blatchford Market (the mixed-use area by NAIT Station). One of their pickups belonged to M.A.P., so hopefully it's a sign that they'll start the utility/servicing work this year.

No activity on-site EcoDen's site when I checked, but there was progress on the waterproofing. I only saw one excavator in action at the new phase, so it seems like the land servicing is almost done.

    LRT Safety

This is only a partial picture, but the March 18, 2025 report on transit safety included a list of transit centres and LRT stations that had commissionaires, and how many incidents were reported by commissionaires at each one in 2024.

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Edmonton

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd wager that there's a couple factors at play: 1. Concept planning won't be finished until 2027, after-which they still need to do preliminary and detailed designs. 2. They won't have space for the buses until the southeast transit garage opens in 2031.

Photos taken over the last week: The fence surrounding the second phase of the Pilots townhomes was taken down, and I saw a couple moving into one of the units. The newest Streetside townhomes now have landscaping: Speaking of Streetside, here's their latest sales progress as of today: The...

    Edmonton Real Estate Market

The initial $39 million budget available for this program was fully allocated in December 2025. In March 2026, an additional $3.9 million in existing Housing Accelerator Funds was re-allocated to the Infill Infrastructure Fund to prioritize multi-unit housing projects that are entirely...

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

Southeast Transit Garage project update coming to the Infrastructure Committee on April 8. They're switching to a phased approach (similar to the Llew Lawrence OMF), with the first phase having a targeted capacity of 255-290 40-foot equivalents (the ultimate build-out will have a capacity of 430).

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

"In a statement to CTV News Edmonton, city officials said the intersections along 104 Avenue – between 105 Street and 121 Street – are currently operated by Marigold Infrastructure Partners, the company hired to build the Valley Line West LRT. “Achieving optimal traffic flow during construction...

Are you talking about the space beside the old BMO/Tegler site? That one was temporary unfortunately; I think the Rice Howard Building reno is what got the actual stop temporarily closed.
