The entrance to the park from Emerson has pavers, concrete benches and bike posts

Went and took some pictures of my own on Friday. Just a big hole now.

And now they're installing formwork and rebar in order to pour the concrete again... I guess the original wall was somehow out of spec in an otherwise unfixable way.

Glad to see something finally moving on this site, it's such an eyesore on an otherwise nice part of Dupont.

Regardless of the bad design of these towers, South Junction Triangle Grows is absolutely a NIMBY group. They fight tooth and nail against every major project in the area. That assessment is independent of whether or not this project is good from an architecture or urban design perspective...

My guess is that these are bollards to prevent cars from the laneway from driving into the park.
