    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I still think LRT lines in toronto can work. The biggest problem with the line is how it was designed, which can be changed in the future. 1. Stations should be minimum 650-700 meters apart. That is a 10 minute walk between stations, which is reasonable. 2. Stations at major intersections...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

The Finch West lrt should have been built with stations that were grade separated at major intersections such as Albion, Kipling, Islington, Weston, Jane. The curve between Humber college station and Westmore should have been built with a more gentle curve allowing for faster speeds, plus...

    Woodbine Centre

For Woodbine to be properly redeveloped into a lifestyle centre, a few things would need to occur: 1. The Finch West LRT would need to be expanded south toward a new Woodbine GO Station and Pearson Airport. 2. Both retail plazas across from Woodbine Mall would need to be redeveloped into...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

On Saturday Feb 14 I rode finch west LRT from Finch West Station to Albion at 8pm. It took 33 minutes to complete the trip and that was even with the LRT dwelling at Duncanwoods Station for 2 minutes and getting stuck behind some red lights.

    Woodbine Centre

If the mall was to be redeveloped it should have happened in the early 2010's when interest rates were lower. As of now its probably very expensive to teardown the mall, but probably very expensive to attempt to repair existing mall. I imagine to most likely out come will be the site will be...

It looks like a lot of rides are currently out of order. Its not looking good considering fantasy fair is one of the few attractions left.

Again by this logic you can justifying building more stations. Why not build one at Silverstone, Milady, Jayzel, Yorkgate, Romfield, why don't those people matter? The vulnerable population is small along to route, you probably loss more ridership from slow tranist than gain for additional...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

So I decided to walk along finch around 11 am and I noticed there was an lrt train running. It was out of service due to the snow but was moving west and still stopping at all stops. I saw it go from kipling to Humber college.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Some creative solutions if Finch LRT removes Stevenson, Duncanwoods, and Driftwood station but locals still want some locals bus transit. 1. Stevenson: the 118 bus currently terminates at thistletown. Theoretically bus line can be extended to Terminate at Albion mall and provide service to...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I don't remember where I heard it but apparently having an aggressive TSP and increased frequency could negatively impact traffic/bus routes on intersecting streets such as Albion, Islington, Weston, and Jane. That's more a long term problem (LRT not to frequent now, we don't have an aggressive...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I really want the LRT to improve long-term, but its hard to feel hopeful. I think part of the problem is the overall design of the line which falls on metrolinx. What was sold to the local community was fast and reliable transit that would encourage redevelopment/housing projects. The LRT takes...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

As someone who lives along and uses the line, I wanted to make a comprehensive list of both the good and the bad. First, the good 1. Smooth and comfortable ride It feels nice knowing there is a good chance of finding a seat when tired or running errands. There is no more stress wondering if...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

OK I have insight on mississauga transit way as I work along the line. I would say as a frequent user it is a success. Buses could run more frequent but Buses are packed. Stations get decent usage from people working in nearby employment areas, buses usually fly at 50 km per hour or sometimes...

On weekends or nights with concerts the Casino gets busy. I am sure there is more the Woodbine Entertainment Group could do to increase usage. 1. A good chunk of the crowd are retired folks. I am surprised their has not been an attempt to build a luxury retirement home somewhere on the...
