I actually planned for the opposite -- a longer interim occupancy. Imo, the shorter the interim occupancy, the better it is for us. Because the rent payment to builder will likely have the current mortgage rates built in, so I doubt it will be any less monthly payment compared to after we...

We don't have to worry about mortage and interest rate until we close. And we probably won't close until end of next year or early 2024

I just can't wait to move in and start decorating. Can't wait for the pre-inspection visit!

Doesn't seem like there's been a lot of progress in the past 3 months... at least on the exterior. Last we heard from the builder, the tentative occupancy for our higher-floor unit in the midrise is April 2023. What do you guys think, are we still on track? 🤞

1) Make sure the agent you're speaking with is a mortgage specialist for the bank, and not a broker. Brokers cannot do pre-con deals 2) Ask the bank you're looking for a firm approval with a builder's rate hold (or rate cap) for 12/18/24 months -- not a pre-approval; that's for resales. Good luck!

We went for an 18-month rate hold for a 3-year fixed.

I finally scavenged through the architectural plans. It was updated July 2022. @BeccaGold87, that wrap-around terrace on Floor 8 is now labelled as "Outdoor Amenity"! 😊

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news… but the giant terrace at the top level is indeed connected to a unit 😅 not sure about the floor 7 one though

Decided to take some photos myself today. Construction is coming along nicely. I see what you mean by bar-code design! lol!

Anyone took photos recently? It's looking further along now when I just drove by last week. Too bad I didn't get a chance to stop for a closer look!
