After reading @canarob's analysis, I agree that Remington would not want to see one demographic in Downtown Markham, hoping that there are big names retailers to kick off at the 2 Signature condo at the ground / upper level.

With such density of residential units and retail mix, traffic is expected to be crazy in Downtown Markham. I just don't know how the parking works for the general public? Would it be paid-parking in the future? The parking spaces in the basement for the Cineplex are far from enough...

@derekwest Thank you for providing the link to the Ruland Report, after reading it, now I know what is going on here. Looks like it's going to be a long long long time (I would say, at least 6 years) before we can really see more retail shops in Downtown Markham.
