The placement of the glass corners was well thought out by Claridge/EVOQ, having them on the most visible faces of each tower.

    Ottawa's Skyline

Relevé south tower looking prominent here. Too bad we won't get the sloped roof, but the double height mechanical penthouse will cement it's spot as the second tallest this end of downtown, at least until it's (and PdV C) thoroughly beaten by the Renaissance.

You got close there! Great shot.

If it helps, Slater will get an eastbound bike lane on that side sometime in the next few years when the street is rebuilt, so no matter what side the entrance would be, you'd get that conflict. If they could have placed the parking garage entrance on their little mid-block street, in line with...

Moon really blends in to the skyline with its shades of grey. Not offensive in any way. From ground level, it's really not too bad. I agree, the contrast is interesting.

I've seen it more from the west recently, walking/driving towards it from Albert (wish they change the name to Scott) and Slater. Driving on the 417 from the east towards Downtown is probably the best way to gauge the height compared to the other towers, so I'll have to take notice next time.

To be clear, by "Ottawa", they mean the Feds.

NEUF can do nice things... if they're not working with Claridge. Hope to see GWL continue to build new residential projects over the next few years, like a Richcraft with one or two good projects at a time (ignoring their Baseline project, not sure what the heck happened there).

That is a nice little building, super interesting location too.

Really liking this proposal. In hindsight, I'm glad the office block previously proposed was never built.

The tower portion looks quite nice. Wish Moon would have adopted this design.

At this point, the south tower looks just about as high as Minto Apartments. That last floor (double height) should make it the most prominent tower of the area other than Place de Ville C. Just wish both towers were a few floors taller. South tower will be fully hidden by the Marriott...

    City of Ottawa

Not a fan of Blais, but he brings up a good point most Ottawans probably wouldn't know - the "New Deal" seems generous, but it's actually not when compared to what Toronto is getting. https://ottawacitizen.com/opinion/blais-doug-fords-deal-for-ottawa-isnt-as-generous-as-touted
