I can’t say I am surprised after 40 years in the area. The lack of planning foresight to connect the Sheppard Line, the GO station, the bus network and the under 401 parking used to raise my blood pressure every time I took the Leslie bus into work…to say nothing about what might have been done...

Don Mills is certainly a mess these days..I doubt the Aga Khan will be impressed given the millions the family has invested in this neighbourhood over the past few years decades.

I still think the weakest link in our energy infrastructure is Line 5 through Michigan which imo puts Ontario at risk for external interference in our energy supply….question is how to fix this.

There have been several advocating the removal of the Aga Khan stop on Line 5…it might surprise some that this jewel of a museum is far better known internationally than by Torontonians,,,when it was being planned I remember reading a large article about it in Le Monde when I was in Paris...

Integration of the new transit system and the highway system isn’t great. Note that a ton of money has just been spent on the Leslie-401 Interchange…and other than the Don Valley Parkway the next one is Victoria Park, not Don Mills.

We were also musing last night why the TTC did not change the route of the 162 to run it down from Barber Greene to the new Don Mills station.

At least Line 5 isn’t open yet…so won’t have to deal with Sunday’s snow….

Hope they are practising dealing with snow today….but really why open it until you can be assured that it will operate without snow day interruptions as an added complication. Maybe Carney should be asking the Chinese for transit and high speed rail advice in exchange for canola….

Find it a bit strange that this was supposed to be a Via Monde public school but there is a French Catholic Board recruitment sign on the site…
