    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

CP24 says it's underground issues, but CBC says it's overhead issues. Both cite the TTC as their source. ...so which is it?

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I got caught out by a 6 car train leaving Union to Bramalea last spring. Arrived from the skywalk entrance before it departed, except that the train was way down the platform so I still missed the train.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Well, directly in front of the loco based on direction of travel (see other views). So the last passenger car derailed after all the others successfully negotiated that piece of track.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I've never seen a shutdown that hasn't been poorly communicated to passengers, and even sometimes staff in the stations aren't kept up to date what's going on.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Today is far from a routine snowfall. Probably the most in single day for a while.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Line 4 was always roughly geographically correct to Line 2. It's really Line 5 (a new addition to the map) and the eastern end of Line 2 that messes it up. And they probably didn't even think to fix that.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The city border is a line running from Renforth straight south(ish) to Eglinton and does not follow Renforth itself. Roughly where the roundabout on the current transitway is. But the actual station alignment next to the current transitway station will be fully in Mississauga.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

That's also nowhere near the underground section. Roughly halfway between the DVP and Vic Park, and 1.5km west of the previous incident. And there isn't like a pedestrian passage underground (sometimes called subway) around either.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

There's been initial construction on the Racetrack property where the station will be for a few months now but nothing substantial yet.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Pioneer Village was the new terminal for YRT routes that used to run to York U. That's a lot more routes than the single one that served Downsview or Don Mills so they need more room outside of the fare gates to drop off all passengers. Without fare integration, all YRT buses dropped off...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

The bus bay at St George is really small, it probably couldn't handle the volume of buses that would be on Spadina.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Outside of Toronto, the fares have been integrated since the widespread adoption of Presto, so it didn't matter to either the customer or the driver who picked up who within city limits.

    Mississauga Toronto | Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I'm going to add onto the complaints about Central Parkway only allowing right turns at Hurontario because there were no signs advising us of such, as well as google maps giving us directions to go straight through when that was not possible. I live nowhere near the area and this was an unusual...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I remember taking like one or two field trips on the bus once way back in high school. It was just tickets for everyone, long before Presto. Chartering a TTC bus is significantly more expensive that just paying standard fares for a class of around 30 students.
