    Federal Politics

Well it is easier to export watch parts and financial services than oil and forestry and farm products. As for those wanting to rely on UNCLOS to access the sea, that access isn't automatic. It requires negotiating "freedom of transit" agreements with transit states to use their ports, roads...

Unfortunately it will also take more than stairwell access to the second and third floor to successfully support a restaurant. While there is an elevator at the south end, it was poorly located and not well integrated by the developer into supporting food services on the upper floors.

^ Prediction or wishful thinking? Not that I think it matters much either way - things would just be passed on from an unpredictable and erratic disaster to a more predictable and focused disaster. You seem to be forgetting that it will be taxpayer dollars paid by those on the sidelines that will end up paying for this… :( If this is what it takes for Westrich to be able to afford to buy it from Regency, those sideline dollars will end up in Regency’s pockets as a reward for bestowing...

    General Infill Discussion

The City’s total budget is approximately 14 billion dollars. 6% of that would be 840 million dollars. There are roughly 700,000 vehicles registered in Edmonton. If you assume half of them would use and pay for street parking, that would be 350,000. At $600 per year ($50 per month) the city...

Back to back shutouts with two different goalies! Almost makes you wonder if Pickard might get the start Tuesday to see if they can tie the Canucks’ record of back to back to back shutouts with three different goalies…

I know - everything they do seems to be motivated by politics and dogma rather than providing good government or good governance.

Sooo... Dan Williams, our provincial Minister of Municipal Affairs, has written a letter to the City of Calgary demanding more than two decades of documentation regarding the Bearspaw South Feeder Main. Why? Because "accountability and sustainability of the delivery of utilities in Alberta's...

I’m pretty sure the National Bank lease in Manulife (which was actually a CWB transaction prior to their being taken over) has been too public for too long to still be considered a confidential transaction.

Agreed… the long term sustainable solutions are a harmonized sales tax, realistic corporate and personal income tax rates, secondary manufacturing (including bitumen upgrading, forestry and agriculture) and investing in R&D, health care, education, and the arts.
