With progress moving along at a reasonable rate, has there been any hint of what will go in to the base of the building (retail ground floor)? I know an Apple Store was originally planned, and the space seems perfect for that. Trying to figure out what else might go in there if the Apple deal...

One thing I keep wondering about as I ride the subway ... How will they handle the new subway/rt maps? They obviously won't replace them all with new ones showing only the new Finch line added, given the proximity to Eglington opening as well. Do they put up new posters, maps, and signage...

Are those 'mature' trees? I'm no arborist, but they look pretty young to me ...

I agree. Probably state of the art looking for 1930. Not a fan.

I think the major offence with this building are the cladding materials. If you imagine it in a nice brick from top to bottom instead, it would not actually be too bad. Not a game changer, but not bad either (imo). That said, it isn't brick and the end result is not great.

I had been assuming all the work was subway related, but I see tarping attached directly to the RBC bank branch ... and it also looks like there is work being done on the Bay building awnings (not sure if those giant screws pointing up were always there, but it looks somewhat stripped down when...

Walking past One Bloor East today and thought I saw what appeared to be work on at least three upper retail units on the west facing side, at the southern most part of the building. I would have thought it was just tidying up the space for possible leasing, except it seemed like they were...

Won't win any beauty contests for sure ... I could 'live' with the upper treatment, but am pretty sad about how it meets the street.
