    Living cost (food and accommodation) of $150 per diem to a cap of $7,500 no receipts needs. If you have storage or moving fees associated then you need to provide receipts and it is added to the $7,500 cap with living expense comp.

    Hi, was your source reliable? Not sure how a purchaser's lawyer would know that the builder is "moving faster now" but I do hope its true because the occupancy rent we would pay is astronomical.

    There is an "outside occupancy" date which is November 2025 and that is the absolute latest for interim occupancy so there is a time limit per the Tarion Schedule.

    For the amount of "rent" we will be paying - not being able to use AC would render it non-livable for some. The other things you have mentioned are annoying but would not cause the unit to be unlivable.

    Does she have the cheque amounts she had to prepare for closing? This would be the rent she is paying - same amount every month till final occupancy (when mortgage kicks in)

    Interim Closing is the same as First Occupancy which just means that it is not the final closing where you take title. What you are referring to is a "firm" or "tentative" date variation which is what gets the Tarion Warranty timeline rolling and is scheduled in the statement of critical dates...

    It all depends on the developer/size of building/how much needs to get fixed after they complete a few PDIs etc. I know for one of the units the PDI was May 23rd for June 19th Occupancy, so my answer was based off of that.
